Well it seems that the last time I posted some of the great music from video games you guys really seemed to enjoy it (from the people I was able to get a chance to talk to.) So I think we will back at it again today with some more pieces of my choosing, remixes and originals! Of course there will not be much text from me because it's very hard to describe in words the emotion and feeling behind each song to me personally. I also understand these songs mean something different to each person, but I'll do my best here. Hope you guys enjoy it! (Same as last time, I do not own any rights to these. These are solely the property of the artist that made it)
Now this song is from, what I feel, is such an under rated game series, Alan Wake (by which I mean one full blown title and another DLC to continue the story.) I couldn't believe myself when I forgot about this song in the last post. The fictional band this song is by is called Old Gods of Asgard which has two band members. These two members are...well easiest way to describe it is crazy old men that become key to the story of the original game. The real band that created this song is Poets of the Fall, which is an amazing band and perfect for this game. Easiest way to describe there music is epic and awesome. If you haven't taken the time to play Alan Wake I highly urge you to do so. You won't regret it I promise!
Now if you have read some of my earlier posts you already know a few of my feelings towards this game and it's insanely relaxing soundtrack. This is one of my favorite songs from Flower just because of how relaxed it makes me feel, even on some of my roughest days. As you can tell this song is mostly just one or two guitars playing with a very slow tempo going with it. If you are having a rough day, just take a listen to this song or even Life as a Flower. It will help you feel a little better I promise.
This one is for our friend Ken. Now obviously this isn't your typical Halo piece, or at least the first one that comes to anyone's mind when the think of Halo. This is my personal favorite piece from the game series, just because of the emotion that you feel behind it. You feel all the suffering and hardships that everyone is going through and to honor the fallen. it's a great song to listen to when your just sitting there... thinking... about anything at all, what's happened, what's going to happen, anything. Amazing how much emotion is behind this short piece, huh?
Now obviously this last song is a different kind of cover/remix of an amazing song in one of my favorite games. I know there have been a lot of slow songs with a lot of emotions behind them in this post, but this one holds a special place in my heart and it's a hard one for me to describe how it makes me feel. It makes me feel a lot of things, sadness, depression, hope, peaceful bliss... there are just so man thing behind it. All I can say is just to close your eyes and listen, see what it makes you feel.
Hope you guys enjoyed all my choices this time around and I will leave this post with a question. Do you guys prefer I bring music like this to you in posts every so often, or would you prefer like a song of the day or song of the every other day or something? I wouldn't mind to do either but I want to know what you guys want. So let me know down in the comments and I will see you guys next time. Until then...
Got it memorized?
